"The Latvians were quite strong, they presented well," said German head coach Norbert Loch, "but my team was able to counter." Not only because of the second place Latvian coach Daniels Forgelis was satisfied: "Of course we are happy about silver, but the best thing is: we brought down three good runs. That lets us go into the next races with confidence."

In contrast, the conclusion in the Austrian team was mixed, "Relay with the community experience is always fun," said Wolfgang Kindl. Madeleine Egle, whom the German coach Loch had described as "really a power", on the other hand, struggled with a mixed run. But Kindl and the duo Gatt/Schöpf in their team relay premiere still ensured a conciliatory outcome.
