The Wipptal Luge Centre in Jaufental/Val di Giovo (ITA) is once again the venue for a major event. On 25–26 January 2025, the 35th FIL Youth Games will be held on the 2024 European Championship track.

Jaufental/Val di Giovo (FIL, 21/01/2025) – On the 650-metre-long "Tonnerboden" track, young athletes aged eight to 14 will compete in two scoring runs. After two training runs on Saturday, the medals will be contested on Sunday. Alongside the sporting competition, the shared experience takes centre stage at the FIL Youth Games, which are held every two years. Saturday afternoon is dedicated to fun and games at the sports hall in Stange.
For the organisers of ASV Jaufental, it is a great honour that the International Luge Federation (FIL) has entrusted the Youth Games to the women and men led by President Manfred Siller. "In recent years, we have hosted many major luge events, from Junior World Cups to Junior World and European Championships, as well as the 2024 European Championships in the General Class. Hosting the FIL Youth Games now is a recognition of the many volunteers and the public and private supporters who have made this possible."
The last FIL Youth Games were held in Kühtai (AUT), where the overall winners were Ziga Kralj (SLO) for the boys and Lotte Mulser (ITA) for the girls, both of whom have now reached the World Cup level.
