Germany wins team relay competition to round off World Cup weekend

Sigulda (RWH)  Germany has won the team relay event to round off the first Viessmann Luge World Cup of the New Year. The German quartet of Tatjana Hüfner, Felix Loch and Tobias Wendl/Tobias Arlt took victory in the Viessmann Team Relay World Cup presented by BMW. The Latvian team of Eliza Cauce, Arturs Darznieks and Oskars Gudramovics/Peteris Kalnins finished as runners-up. Third place went to the Russians Tatiana Ivanova, Semen Pavlichenko and Andrey Bogdanov/Andrey Medvedev.

After three events so far in the winter 2015/2016 season, the Latvians continue to lead the overall classification in the Viessmann Team Relay World Cup presented by BMW on 255 points. The German team has now moved into second place with 246 points.
