FIL Medal of Honor for Martin Peters from Eberspächer

Altenberg (FIL/11 Jan 2025) Martin Peters, Managing Partner and Chairman of the Management Board of the Eberspächer Group, was honored with a very special award: On Saturday, January 11, 2025, he was awarded the FIL Medal of Honor by the International Luge Federation (FIL) at the 5th EBERSPAECHER Luge World Cup in Altenberg.

The presentation of this award took place before the EBERSPAECHER World Cup ceremonies and was conducted by FIL President Einars Fogelis. Martin Peters was there with his wife Christina to experience this special moment.

The FIL Medal of Honor is awarded by the federation to individuals outside the FIL who have made a special contribution to the sport of luge. The Medal of Honor is the highest award that the FIL can bestow on individuals outside the federation.

Eberspächer has been a partner of the Luge World Cup since the season 2001/2002 and took over the title sponsorship of the FIL Luge World Cup series for the 2020/2021 season. The company also regularly supports FIL World Championships. With this award, the FIL honors a personality who has contributed significantly to the further development of the sport of luge and to the worldwide promotion of this traditional winter sport.
