FIL Launches New Safe Sport Reporting Platform
Berchtesgaden (FIL/22 Jan 2025) The International Luge Federation (FIL) is proud to announce the official launch of its new Safe Sport Reporting platform as part of the ongoing development of the FIL Sports Integrity Unit (FIL SIU). This initiative underscores the FIL's unwavering commitment to protecting the safety and integrity of all participants in the sport of luge.
The FIL Safe Sport Integrity Reporting line went live on January 9, 2025. The Reporting Platform provides a safe, confidential and user-friendly channel for individuals to report any concerns, suspicions or complaints related to Safe Sport violations. This includes all forms of abuse, neglect, and negligence as outlined in FIL Safe Sport Policy and Safe Sport Code, FIL Code of Ethics, and/or FIL Statutes. This is one more tool to continue building a positive, safe and trusted sport of Luge.
WHO can file a report? Any person can submit a report who has witnessed, been a victim of, or has information about any Safe Sport abuse for all FIL sanctioned events and activities.
WHAT can be reported through the FIL Safe Sport Platform?
Any safe sport concerns or breaches involving maltreatment including all forms of abuse, harassment, and neglect, as defined in the following documents:
- FIL Safe Sport Policy and Code of Conduct (* currently in draft, with anticipated approval at June Congress 2025);
- FIL Code of Ethics;
- FIL Statutes.
SECURE - Confidentiality and Security
The FIL Safe Sport Integrity Reporting line ensures the confidentiality of all reports
- All submitted reports have restricted access to the FIL Sport Integrity Manager only;
- All reports are securely stored on the DokuMe platform, are not accessible to other FIL staff and not stored on FIL servers.;
- A solid case review and handling procedure with the utmost discretion.
WHEN can you report a Safe Sport incident
The Safe Sport Reporting Platform is operational 24/7, 365 days a year. Reports can be submitted online at any time. All submissions will be promptly acknowledged and case managed by the FIL Sport Integrity Manager.
HOW to Report a Safe Sport Incident
The FIL Sport Integrity Unit has partnered with DokuMe to provide trusted and secure safe sport reporting!

Upcoming Safe Sport Engagement & Education
To further promote education and awareness of safe sport and sport integrity, the FIL will conduct the following events:
- January 30, 2025, 7:00 p.m. – Maury Young Arts Centre, Whistler Sliding Centre (For Seniors during ITP for FIL Luge World Championships)
- February 23, 2025, 7:00 p.m. – Sigulda, Latvia (For Juniors during ITW for FIL Junior World Cup 5/6)
