FIL Executive Board meets in Munich on May 10 and 11
Munich (FIL/14 May 2024) On Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11, 2024, the members of the FIL Executive Board met in Munich.
In addition to the report by FIL President Einars Fogelis (LAT) and the financial report by Vice President Geoff Balme (NZL), the Chairmen of the FIL Commissions Claire DelNegro (Sport), Armin Zöggeler (Technical) and Sorin Buta (Natural Track) provided information about their meetings and the IRO proposals to the FIL Congress. The FIL Executive Board decided on all motions for the upcoming Congress on June 14 and 15, 2024 in Lake Placid (USA). Motions will be submitted in the areas of the statutes, the IRO (International Luge Regulations) and the Olympic rules.
Other items on the agenda and resolutions at the Executive Board meeting in Munich included preparations for the 72nd FIL Congress in Lake Placid and the evaluation of bids for championships on artificial and natural track.
The sports calendar for the 2024/2025 natural track season was confirmed in its current form. Decisions were made on the assignment of jury and technical delegates at FIL Championships and on honoring deserving officials.
