World Luge Congress Awards FIL Congress to be Held in Finland 2025 and Germany in the year 2026

Lake Placid (FIL/16 June 2024) The Finnish Luge Federation has been awarded the 73rd FIL Congress in June 2025, to be held in Tampere. “We are very excited to host the World Congress of the FIL family in 2025,” said Jani Tilvis, President of the Finnish Luge Federation.

And the German Bobsleigh, Luge, and Skeleton Federation (BSD) has successfully secured the bid for the 74th FIL Congress, which will take place in Berchtesgaden in the summer of 2026. "We are very happy to be back in the luge family with Berchtesgaden-Königssee as the venue for a congress in 2026 and world championships in 2028," said BSD Chairman Thomas Schwab.
