Ferriani new AIOWF president, Einars Fogelis succeeds Josef Fendt

Berchtesgaden (FIL) The President of the IBSF (International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation) Ivo Ferriani (ITA) was elected as the new President of the Association of International Olympic Wintersports Federations (AIOWF) at the online General Assembly. The Italian replaces the outgoing AIOWF president Gian-Franco Kasper (SUI).

Since the cash auditor of the AIOWF, FIL President Josef Fendt (GER), will also resign from his position at the FIL Online Congress on November 20, 2020, FIL Secretary General Einars Fogelis (LAT) was elected by the AIOWF as successor to Fendt.
Einars Fogelis said: “I would like to thank Gian Franco and his team for their work for our Olympic winter sports. I am looking forward to working with Ivo Ferriani and his Secretary General Heike Größwang in this complicated time”.
