Digital Offensive of the International Luge Federation FIL

FIL-Studio live

Whistler (FIL/07 Dec.2022) As a supplement to the linear TV broadcasts, the International Luge Federation, FIL, will start an offensive in the area of digital coverage in the 2022/23 season. For the first time, live streaming will be broadcast via the FIL YouTube channel and, in addition, a second channel, "FIL Studio live," will be set up to provide background information, analyses, interviews and much more in English. "FIL Studio live" will celebrate its premiere this weekend in Whistler, Canada.

It will be broadcast live 30 minutes before the start of the race, between the runs and after the end of the race from the start, at the finish or from the specially set-up studio on site. Famous faces in the luge scene will give viewers and luge fans interesting insights into the fastest sport on ice, including Kate Hansen (former athlete of the U.S. National Team), Chris Mazdzer (silver medalist in PyeongChang 2018) and Tim Singer (voice and face of FIL Live Streaming).

FIL Secretary General Dwight Bell commented that "at a time when the world of media is moving quickly, the FIL wanted to be on front end of the move to digital media as well as control the quality of our content and how it is distributed, and in particular, offer unprecedented behind the scenes access to our sport and athletes".

FIL Live Streaming and FIL Studio live can be accessed via the official FIL YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@FILLuge_Channel
