Anna Berreiter, Jonas Müller and Kashkin-Korshunov crowned U23 World Champions
Sochi (RWH) Germany’s Anna Berreiter, the Austrian Jonas Müller and Vsevolod Kashkin-Konstantin Korshunov from Russia have been crowned the new U23 World Champions of the International Luge Federation (FIL). The titles were awarded using a race-in-race format at the 48th FIL World Championships. In the men’s race Jonas Müller relegated Latvia’s Kristers Aparjods und Jonathan Gustafson from the USA to second and third place.
Anna Berreiter was followed in second by her team-mate Cheyenne Rosenthal. Third place went to Madeleine Egle from Austria. Silver in the doubles went to Ivan Nagler-Fabian Malleier (ITA), the Junior World Champions of 2018. Bronze went to Andrey Shander-Semen Mikov (KAZ).
