38th Junior World Championship in Bludenz / Young luge elite starts in Hinterplärsch

Junioren WM Bludenz

Bludenz (FIL/10 Jan 2023) Vorarlberg is once again the venue for the elite of young lugers. After last winter's Junior World Cup and most recently the FIL Continental Cup series already made a stop in Bludenz, in mid-January 2023 the best young athletes from all over the world will be competing for the coveted World Junior Championship titles.

In the Singles, Doubles and Team events, the luge elite will compete in the age category 15 to 21 years. Already during the training runs starting on January 11, 2023, interested people can cheer on the female and male athletes directly at the edge of the ice channel and push them to top performances.

"I am pleased that also this year numerous teams will make their way to Bludenz and that the World Championship will take place in Hinterplärsch," says Helmut Tagwerker, long-time chairman of the Luge Club Sparkasse Bludenz, delightedly, to remind of earlier sporting events: "Everything as in 1984, everything just much, much more modern!"
