25 years ago today: Georg Hackl wins his 3rd Olympic gold medal

Frankfurt am Main (FIL/09 Feb 2023) Top dates 2023 of the "Hall of Fame of German Sports" commemorate the honorary days of German athletes and their successes.

The first months of the year are dominated by historically significant events in winter sports: On February 9, 1998, luger Georg Hackl stepped into the limelight when he won the men’s singles event at the Olympic Winter Games in Nagano (Japan), repeating his Olympic victories from 1994 in Lillehammer (NOR) and 1992 in Albertville (FRA).

With the list of historic anniversaries in 2023, Deutsche Sporthilfe commemorates the members of the "Hall of Fame of German Sports" as well as their successes and invites all sports fans to learn more about the personalities.
