Olympic Bronze medallist Anton Winkler passed away

Berchtesgaden (RWH) Anton Winkler has passed away. The bronze medallist of the 1980 Olympic Winter Games in Lake Placid (USA) died on Saturday, October 8th 2016, in his hometown of Berchtesgaden. This was published by the International Luge Federation (FIL).

At World Championships of the International Luge Federation (FIL) Winkler won silver 1978 in Imst (AUT) and bronze 1977 in Innsbruck-Igls (AUT). In winter 1977-1978 Winkler wrote Luge history by winning the first ever Overall World Cup.
