Disciplinary Commission of the FIL to proceedings against Ivanova and Demchenko

Berchtesgaden (RWH) The Disciplinary Commission of the International Luge Federation (FIL) met for an arbitration hearing on 2 January 2018 in Berchtesgaden in relation to the proceedings against Tatyana Ivanova and Albert Demcehnko . The FIL decided not to impose sanctions in either case.

The FIL’s Disciplinary Commission was unable to ascertain with full conviction that the two athletes had violated anti-doping regulations at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. This was the reason cited in a statement by the Disciplinary Commission, which comprises Dr Christian Krähe (GER) as chairman, Dr Andreas Ruetz (AUT), and Dr Jochen Fritzweiler from Germany.
